Came through great. But while I was there, I made several trips up and down on the elevators. All the construction going on caused me to take a different elevator every time it seemed like. All the while I was totally acting like I knew what I was doing. No one would have ever known I was lost or trying to find my way. While I was riding all these elevators, it felt like I was one of those elevator guys. When someone would get on with me, I found myself saying \u201cwhich floor\u201d in which I would then hit the appropriate floor button on their behalf. You see, I was always left on the elevator after everyone else exited because I most certainly was not lost. I just like riding elevators trying to get where I belong.<\/p><p>In my Bible reading right now I am reading in Exodus about the children of Israel and how God is establishing some rules for his people. This would be the big start of God establishing his promise to Abraham. Now Gods people are free. And He is using Moses and Aaron to do this. I want you to now notice the verses above again. At the bottom of the mountain the people are waiting for the Word of the Lord to come, taking care not to get too close. Moses, Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders ascend higher and meet with the Lord. And then Moses and Joshua moved on even higher. Finally, Moses would go alone and move even higher where there He saw the Glory of the Lord.<\/p><p>What an amazing picture this is of the Christian today. You see, today we have the luxury of being able to choose how high we get to God. We do not have to stop at a certain level. We can go all the way. It is up to us. The people at the base of the mountain were satisfied to hear the voice of Moses but Moses not only heard Gods voice, but he also saw Gods glory. What a shame it is when Gods people settle for the lowest level when they could experience greater blessings for those who seek God with all their heart. Israel had to worship from a distance because that was Gods command but today God says we can come directly to Him through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. James 4:8 says, \u201cDraw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you.\u201d We have the privilege to go all the way to the top if we want. But it is our decision to make. Unfortunately, there are people and always will be that are determined just to ride the elevator, stay off the elevator, and then there are some blessed servants who when God ask, \u201cWhich floor?\u2019 They will say, \u201cTake me to the top.\u201d<\/p><p>So, can I ask you?
